Gift Of Life

This is a large nicho/shadowbox, mixed-media piece and is made up of several components that include: a large wood nicho/shadowbox, a resin anatomical heart, fifteen custom carved cut wood pieces and one two wood rounds. It's been embellished with silver-toned roses,  glass leaves, red bead charms, sixteen xacto blades,  a painted wood butterfly and a silver-toned metal thought token that reads, "Life". The anatomical heart lights up (its very subtle) and is removable (the pedestal it sits on is not removable). All of the embellishments (and the pedestal) have been securely mounted to the piece.

The entire piece has been painted with acrylic/metallic paint, it measures approximately 9 1/2" x  15 1/2" x 5" (at highest, widest and deepest points) and has been varnished with a satin finish. The set of lungs measure approximately 5" x 6 1/2" x 4" and has been painted with acrylic paint and varnished with the same satin finish. The piece has a nice weight to it and can sit on a table or shelf (no hanger is included). The colors are clear, vivid and accent each other nicely! I've titled, signed and dated this piece on the bottom.
